| Borned at Tokyo in 1941. Graduated from Keio
Univ. School of Medicine in 1967. Chief Resident,
Dept. of Neuropsychiatry, Keio Univ. Hospital,1974-1978.
Student sent abroad by France government,1972-1974.
Chief Dept. of psychiatry, National institute
of Alcoholism(Kurihama National Hospital),1978-1983.
Chief, Dept. of Sociopathology, Tokyo Institute
of Psychiatry,1983-1995. Director, Institute
for Family Functioning, 1995-. Head of the Japanse Society of Studies on Addictive Bhavior.@Editorial Board of "Japanese Journal of Addiction and Family". Head of the Japanese Society for Prevention of child abuse and Neglect. Adviser of Japan Trauma suvivor's Union(JUST). Tackling with Eating Disord. Alcoholism Drug Dependence and Gambling as "disease of the contemporary" for long time. Leading person of studies on Addiction and Family Functioning in Japan and providing enough suggestions to people. He is known as "Walking Psychiatry" who supports AKK(Studies group of Addiction problems) NABA(Japan Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa Assiciation) JUST(Japan Trauma Suvivor's Union) and so many Self-Help groups. Even now he gives workshops and lectures around Japan. |
